True story: I sold my PS4 last year. First I backed up my saves to a USB drive, then I deactivated my PSN account and restored it to factory settings. It sold like hotcakes!

First, make sure to back up your data! Use an external drive or upload everything to the cloud. Then, perform a factory reset to wipe your personal info. Lastly, give it a good clean so it looks as fresh as possible.

Here's a hot take: Just factory reset it. That's all you need!

Don鈥檛 forget to deactivate your PSN account from the console. Then, factory reset it to make sure all your data is gone. Trust me, no one wants your saved game of 'The Last of Us.'

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
