Pretty much if it's VR and it works on a PC, it's gonna work with Steam. Obviously, the Valve Index is like the golden child since Valve themselves are behind Steam, but the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest (with a Link Cable) also get along with Steam VR super well. Oh, and let's not forget about the Windows Mixed Reality headsets – they're like the hidden gems of Steam VR compatibility.

As long as it says VR and you don't try to plug in a toaster, you're probably good. But really, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets are your go-tos.

Valve Index is the only way to go, period. Why settle for less when you can have the best integration and experience directly from the creators of Steam?

Honestly, Steam's pretty chill with most headsets. I've used the Oculus Quest 2 with a Link Cable and it's smooth sailing. Feels like pretty much anything that can connect to your PC can work with Steam VR.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
