When the PS3 hit the shelves in 2006, it was priced at $499 for the basic 20 GB version and $599 for the higher-end 60 GB version. Worth every penny for a built-in Blu-ray player and those HD graphics!

The launch price of the PS3 in the U.S. was $499 for the 20 GB model and $599 for the 60 GB model. It was a hefty investment back in 2006, but hey, Blu-ray tech doesn't come cheap!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
