Honestly, just turn over a rock. Kidding! But seriously, head to any water source or light source at night. Moths especially can't resist a good porch light.
Finding insects is easy peasy - hit up any swampy, wooded, or irradiated area. The Mire is my go-to spot because it seems like every time I blink, I'm swatting at something.
