Soot Flowers in Fallout 76 are pretty easy to stumble upon if you know where to look. They're most commonly found in the Forest region, which is essentially where you start the game after leaving Vault 76. Look around the starting area and along the riverbanks — their bright blue petals are hard to miss! Another hotspot is near the Overseer's camp, which is one of the early locations you'll visit following the main questline. Happy foraging!

Literally, just walk around the Forest region. Can't miss 'em. They're everywhere with those blue petals. If you do, maybe get your eyes checked, lol.
If you're looking for soot flower in Fallout 76 for that healing salve recipe, the Forest region's your best bet. I found a bunch while wandering near the lumber mill. Great for crafting early on and pretty much sprouting all over the place there.
