The launch models of the PS3, especially those with 4 USB ports, are your best bet for PS2 backward compatibility. PS1 games work on any PS3 though.

Only the original 'fat' PS3 models can play PS2 games, specifically the 20GB, 60GB, and some early 80GB models with hardware-based backward compatibility. All PS3 models, however, can play PS1 games!

Just get a 60GB or early 80GB 'fat' PS3 for PS2 games. Any PS3 will handle PS1 games.

Any PS3 plays PS1 games. Only the OG fat ones play PS2 games.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
