If you’re hunting for full backward compatibility on a PS3, grab the early 20GB or 60GB models. They’ve got the actual PS2 hardware built in! Later models, sadly, only support some PS2 games via software emulation.

Only the original PS3 'fat' models with either 20GB or 60GB hard drives are fully backwards compatible with PS2 games. Look for the CECHCxx and CECHExx models!

Just get a PS2. Problem solved.

Speaking from experience, I've got the 60GB 'fat' PS3 and it runs PS2 games like a charm. Just make sure it’s one of those early models!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
