The original 20GB and 60GB PS3 models are fully backwards compatible with PS2 games. These early models have the extra hardware inside for it!

Technically, the 80GB 'MotorStorm' bundle is also partially backwards compatible with PS2 games, but it's software-based and a bit hit or miss!

Only the original PS3 models with 4 USB ports in the front offer full backward compatibility with PS2 games. Check the ports to be sure!
