Why are there no NPCs in Fallout 76?
It had no NPCs at launch cuz Bethesda wanted Fallout 76 to be a purely multiplayer experience. They thought players would create all the drama and stories. But, they listened to feedback and added NPCs later on. It's way better now!

NPCs? Who needs 'em when you've got real players to interact with? Fallout 76 is all about that player-driven experience. Sure, they added NPCs later, but it's the player stories that make it unique!
Actually, that used to be the case when Fallout 76 first launched, but not anymore! Bethesda rolled out the Wastelanders update in April 2020, which introduced NPCs (non-playable characters) into the game. This update brought human NPCs, new quests, and a dialogue system. So, if you're jumping into the game now, you'll definitely meet some interesting characters along the way!
No NPCs? Well, that's old news! Fallout 76 got a huge makeover with the Wastelanders update. It's like the game leveled up and brought in a bunch of NPCs to make the world feel more alive. They add a lot to the story and make it feel more like the Fallout we know and love. Definitely give it a try now if NPCs were what you were missing!
