Why can my friends hear themselves through my mic on PS5?

This usually happens because your headset volume is too high, and your mic is picking up the sound from your speakers. Try turning down your headset volume or using a noise-canceling mic.

I've had this issue too! What worked for me was adjusting the mic sensitivity in the PS5 settings. Go to Settings > Sound > Microphone > Adjust Microphone Level.

It might be feedback from your surroundings or mic too close to your mouth. Move your mic a bit away and make sure you're in a quiet environment.

Echoes can be caused by your mic picking up sound from your TV if it's too loud. Keep your TV volume low or use headphones.

Honestly, the easiest fix is to mute your mic when you're not using it. It helps a lot with preventing any unnecessary feedback.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
