Why Can't I Fire My Sniper Rifle in XCOM 2?

Check if your sniper's moved this turn. Sniper rifles in XCOM 2 can't be fired after moving, unless you've got specific skills or abilities like the 'Death From Above' perk.
Make sure you haven't already used up all the sniper's actions for the turn. Snipers need to remain stationary to fire the big guns.
Your sniper likely needs to be in the 'Overwatch' stance or have the right abilities unlocked. Proper positioning and skill upgrades can make a big difference!
