Cooking in Animal Crossing: New Horizons becomes available after you download the 2.0 update! First thing, you'll need to make sure your game is up to date. Then, you have to set up the island life a bit—help out Tom Nook, get Blathers to your island, and upgrade your Resident Services. After all that jazz, you'll find yourself chatting with Franklin on Turkey Day, who introduces you to the wonderful world of cooking! So, keep plugging away at those island tasks and make sure your game's updated!

Honestly, just update your game and talk to the right NPCs. It's pretty straightforward, no secret handshake required.

Did you update your game? Cooking got added in the 2.0 update. Without it, you're stuck in pre-cooking times.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
