Because the plot needed to wrap up, and the creators wanted to avoid dragging the series out unnecessarily.

I think the series ended when it did to keep the quality high and avoid filler episodes. They wanted to finish strong!

Honestly, the ending was part of the creators' plan from the start. They wanted to deliver a complete narrative arc within a single season.

Darling in the Franxx ended mostly because it reached the natural conclusion of the story it set out to tell. Every good story has a beginning, middle, and end鈥攊ncluding mecha adventures!

If you're a Darling In The Franxx fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
