Why Do People Hate Darling in the Franxx?
I think it's the shift in tone and story midway through the series. It started as a cool mecha anime but then went full sci-fi philosophical.

Some folks hated the ending of Darling in the Franxx because it felt rushed and didn't tie up loose ends well. Personally, I loved the journey, even if the destination was a bit bumpy!
Not gonna lie, some people are just anime snobs and can't handle a plot twist or anything that isn't a cookie-cutter ending.
It had potential but fell flat in the last few episodes. Characters made weird choices, and the plot took some wild turns.
