Just switch to another platform, dude. Steam's slow updates are a buzzkill.

Patching takes forever on Steam for a few reasons, pal! First up, your internet speed plays a huge part. If it鈥檚 slower than a turtle, well, snail mail might be faster. Then, there鈥檚 the game size. Updating a massive game? Grab some popcorn. Also, Steam servers get crammed faster than a subway at rush hour, especially during big updates or sales. Lastly, check if your gear is running other heavy tasks; it's like trying to sprint with weights on.

Steam's patching isn't that slow if you manage your settings right. Throttle back on the bandwidth usage for other stuff, and make sure Steam has the priority. Worked wonders for me.

I've noticed patches take ages when everyone jumps on at the same time. Tried updating at odd hours, and it's like having the express lane all to myself!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
