Make sure your PS4 and controller are close enough. Sometimes just moving them closer helps!

Try resetting your controller with a pin or paperclip in the small hole on the back! Worked for me when mine was acting up.

Sometimes it's just a pairing issue. Turn off your PS4 completely and then restart while holding the PS button and Share button till the light starts flashing.
