First, make sure your mic isn't muted! There's a mute button on the DualSense controller that lights up when muted. If that's not the issue, check your audio settings in the PS5 menu to ensure the mic is selected as the input device.

Have you tried plugging the mic into another device to see if it's the mic itself? Sometimes the issue can be hardware-related!

It's probably a settings issue. Go to Sound > Microphone in the settings and make sure your mic is selected and the levels are good.

Quick tip: sometimes a simple restart can solve mic issues on the PS5. Turn it off, wait a few minutes, and turn it back on.

Mics can be finicky. Make sure your PS5 firmware is up to date. A lot of times, these updates fix hardware-related bugs.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
