Honestly, Steam Link lag is all about that Wi-Fi life. If you’re trying to stream Witcher 3 on a 2.4GHz band from two floors away, you're gonna have a bad time. Get closer to your router, switch to 5GHz, or better yet, go wired if you can.

The lag you're experiencing on Steam Link could be due to a variety of reasons - slow internet connection, weak Wi-Fi signal, or your gaming rig not being up to scratch. Make sure both your PC and the device you're streaming to are connected to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network for the best experience. If you're on a wired connection, check that your Ethernet cables are up to the task!

I’ve been using Steam Link for ages, and here’s the deal: if your PC is busy doing a ton of background tasks, it’s gonna choke on streaming your game smoothly. Close unnecessary apps and check your PC's performance settings. Made a world of difference for me.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
