Dragon Ball Z isn't in the Big 3 because that term specifically refers to the three most popular Shonen Jump series during the mid-2000s: One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. Dragon Ball Z came out earlier and was already legendary by that time!

The Big 3 is a term used for One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach because they dominated manga sales and popularity in the 2000s. DBZ's era of dominance was earlier, so it doesn't fit that specific category!

DBZ is legendary, but the Big 3 refers to One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach鈥檚 peak era in the 2000s鈥擠BZ had its own peak before that.

Simple. The Big 3 refers to the newer generation of mega-hits from Shonen Jump. Dragon Ball Z is more of a legendary godfather.
