First, check if the PlayStation Network (PSN) is down. Sony's PSN Status Page (https://status.playstation.com) will have the info. If it's up, try restarting your router and PS4/PS5.

I've had this issue before. Turning off my console, unplugging it for a few minutes, then plugging it back in worked like a charm!

It could be your internet connection. Verify other devices are online. If they are, try rebooting your console and router!
