Hot take: Gamma Gun? More like Gimmick Gun. It's fun but doesn't match up to the raw utility of a good ol' combat shotgun.

Oh, absolutely鈥攁ssuming you're not planning to use it on ghouls or anything ghoul-ish! Gamma guns in Fallout 4 are pretty niche but pack a punch against human targets since it does radiation damage. Great for making those raider skirmishes a bit more interesting!

As someone who's spent an unholy amount of hours in Fallout 4, I can tell you the gamma gun is a beast against the right enemies. Humans and non-radiation-resistant creatures drop like flies. But try to use it on a Super Mutant and you'll find it's about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Pick your battles wisely!

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
