Oh heck yes, pistol builds are totally viable in Fallout 4! With the right perks, like Gunslinger to amp up that damage and range, plus stealth skills to add that sweet sneak attack damage, you can be a wasteland cowboy picking off enemies before they know what hit 'em. Plus, pistols weigh less than bigger guns, so you can carry more loot. So, if you fancy quick draws and high crits, pistols are your go-to.

Pistols? In Fallout 4? Absolutely not the best choice if you're planning to go toe-to-toe with a Deathclaw without a solid strategy. Sure, they're fine for early game and sneaky builds, but you'll find yourself outgunned (pun intended) pretty quickly unless you're crafty and know how to use the environment to your advantage.

Pistol builds are my jam. I've been rocking a silenced .44 since my second playthrough and let me tell ya, nothing beats the satisfaction of a one-shot-one-kill from the shadows. With perks focused on critical hits and agility, I'm pretty much the ghost of the Commonwealth. Plus, VATS and pistols are like peanut butter and jelly. Sweet, deadly, and always satisfying.
