Nope, you can't run Fallout 4 without Steam. Bethesda games like Fallout 4 require Steam to activate and play. It's part of the DRM (Digital Rights Management) thing to keep games legit and in check. So, install Steam, grab Fallout 4, and enjoy the wasteland!

Short answer: No. Long answer: Still no, but worth mentioning that even though you need Steam to run Fallout 4, once it's set up, the game's all yours to explore and enjoy. Bethesda went all-in with Steam integration for a reason, folks.

Can confirm, tried to get around it but no dice. Fallout 4 needs Steam to run, which ain't too bad 'cause Steam keeps your games updated and lets you snag some cool DLC. Plus, playing legit means no weird glitches or bans. Happy gaming!

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
