No, they can't. Electric doors are player-exclusive. NPCs don’t interact with the switches or power systems needed to operate them. Makes for great base security, unless you trap yourself out. Speaking from experience here.

Nope, NPCs in Fallout 4 can't use electric doors. You won't see raiders or settlers magically opening those powered doors; they don’t mess with the switch. So, if you're planning some elaborate base with electric doors to keep out the riff-raff, you're in luck!

Sadly, no. NPCs don't have the smarts to work electric doors. Would've been cool, though.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
