Nope, you can't filter out the bad words like you're bleeping a reality TV show. Fallout 4 is as raw as the wasteland it's set in. Either embrace the apocalypse with all its gritty dialogue or keep the volume low and imagine they're all saying 'fiddlesticks.'

Unfortunately, there's no built-in option in Fallout 4 to filter out bad language. Given it's a game that prides itself on immersive storytelling and a realistic post-apocalyptic world, the mature content, including language, plays a part in that experience. Your best bet might be to mod your game if you're on PC. There are community-created mods that can reduce or eliminate swearing, but console players might have a tougher time managing this.
As someone who's been through the Fallout 4 wasteland more times than I can count, I've never found an option to filter language. What I did was create a more family-friendly environment with mods. There's quite a few out there that address language specifically, so if you're on PC, definitely give modding a go!
