Nah, you can't exactly whistle for Dogmeat like you might in other games. But, if you lose sight of him, you can always fast travel to a different location - he tends to magically appear right next to you after that. So, while you can't whistle and expect him to come running, you won't lose him for good either.

Actually, you can't whistle for Dogmeat or any other companion in Fallout 4. There's no in-game mechanic for that. Your best bet is to keep an eye on him, or like the top tip mentions, use fast travel as a kinda 'summoning spell' to get him back by your side.

Wish we could whistle for Dogmeat. Would've made those lonely treks across the Commonwealth a bit less daunting. Still, Fallout 4's charm ain't in the whistling, it's in those moments of finding your loyal companion waiting for you, no whistle needed.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
