To call Dogmeat back to you in Fallout 4 on your PS4, simply press and hold the 'Triangle' button. This will make your character whistle and Dogmeat will come running to your side, no matter where he wandered off to. Works every time, just like calling a real dog (minus the real dog part).

If all else fails, travel to another location via the map. Dogmeat usually resets and finds his way back to you. I've lost count of how many times I thought I lost him, but this trick always works!
