Honestly, I never bother changing FOV settings. Fallout 4's default setting feels just fine to me.

Quick tip: changing FOV through the console might reset after cinematics or if you start the game again. So, if you're serious about keeping that FOV, editing the .ini files is the way to go. That's what I did, and it's been perfect ever since.

Changing your FOV in Fallout 4 on PC is super easy! Just open the console by pressing the tilde (`~`) key, then type 'fov X', replacing X with your desired field of view. Hit enter, and bam, new FOV! If you wanna make this permanent, you'll have to tweak some ini files though. Head over to your Fallout4Prefs.ini file in your game directory, look for 'fDefaultWorldFOV' and 'fDefault1stPersonFOV', and change those values to whatever you fancy.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
