How to Dismantle Junk in Fallout 4
Actually, you don't need to dismantle junk at all in Fallout 4. Just store it in any settlement's workbench, and when you're crafting, the game breaks it down for you. Saves a ton of time and lets you focus on scavenging and surviving out there.

Dismantling junk in Fallout 4 is super easy! Just head over to any workbench you come across - could be a weapons workbench, armor workbench, chemistry station, or the crafting area in one of your settlements. Simply walk up to it, and you'll get the option to 'Transfer' your items. Dump all that junk you've been hoarding into the workbench's inventory. Now, the cool part: whenever you're crafting or building and you need components, the game automatically breaks down the junk into whatever components you need. No manual dismantling required. Just make sure your junk is in the workbench inventory!
I don鈥檛 get why everyone hoards junk. Just sell it for caps and buy what you really need. ?
