The only way to cure the mole rat disease in Fallout 4 is by using the cure you get during the 'Hole in the Wall' quest at Vault 81. You have to choose either to keep it for yourself or give it to Austin. If you take it, congrats, you're disease-free. If you give it away, well, you're stuck with the disease forever. Tip: Save before the quest ends so you can reload if you change your mind!

You can't cure it if you give the cure to the kid, period. Kinda harsh, but that's Fallout for you.

Short answer? Cure yourself or live with it. Your call, Vault Dweller.

Actually used the cure on myself because I couldn't stand the thought of that permanent HP reduction. Felt a bit selfish, but hey, survival of the fittest, right? Don't judge me too harshly.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
