How to Power Up a Radio Transmitter in Fallout 4
It's simpler than making a sandwich. Just craft or find a generator, place it near the radio transmitter, and link them using power connectors and wires. The game's crafting interface makes it easy to see if they're connected. Remember, the size of the generator matters; more complex equipment needs more power.

Don't overthink it. Connect generator, use wire, flip switch. If it doesn't work, your generator is too weak.
First things first, you gotta find yourself a generator. Any ol' generator will do, but make sure it's got enough juice to power your radio transmitter. After you've got your generator ready, connect it to the transmitter with some power cables. You might need to throw a switch or something to get it all humming together. Bam! You're broadcasting.
Actually, I found a bug where if you place the generator too far and stretch the wire, the power doesn't always connect. Had to move my setup closer together for it to work. So if you're scratching your head wondering why it ain't working, try moving things closer.
