How to Provide Food for Settlers in Fallout 4
First up, you wanna get your hands dirty. Literally! Start by planting crops in your settlements. You can plant things like mutfruit, corn, and tatos. Just walk up to any open ground in workshop mode, and you'll see an option to plant your crops. Remember, each settler can manage up to 6 food units, so plant enough to keep everyone fed!

All about that efficiency, folks. Mutfruit's the way to go. It produces the most food per plant. So if you're tight on space or just wanna max out efficiency, load up on mutfruit. A mutfruit plantation is practically a post-apocalyptic Whole Foods.
Assign settlers to farming! After planting those crops, make sure to assign settlers to manage them. Just go into workshop mode, click on a settler, and then click on the crop. Boom, you've got yourself a farmer. This way, your food supply will start to increase, feeding your hungry settlers.
Honestly, just scavenge. Sometimes planting and managing a farm feels like too much work. You can find a bunch of food in the wasteland, if you're not above a little scavenging. Might not be the most reliable method, but hey, it adds a bit of adventure to dinner time!
