Unfortunately, you can't officially rename Dogmeat in Fallout 4 without mods. Bethesda decided to stick with the iconic name for this faithful companion. However, if you're playing on PC, there are mods available that let you change his name to whatever your heart desires. Just dive into the modding community websites and look for a 'rename Dogmeat' mod.

Actually, renaming Dogmeat without mods isn't an option. Bethesda made sure our furry friend kept his iconic name throughout our adventure in the wasteland. Mods are your go-to if you really want to call him something else.
