To set Fallout 4 to full screen, first launch the game and wait for the main menu to appear. Then, head over to ‘Options,’ select ‘Display Settings,’ and there you should see an option for 'Mode.' Click on it and select 'Full Screen.' Don’t forget to apply the changes before exiting. If for some reason this doesn’t work, you can try editing the Fallout4Prefs.ini file located in Documents/My Games/Fallout 4. Find the line that says bFull Screen=0 and change it to bFull Screen=1, then save the file.

Just alt+enter. Works like a charm to switch between windowed and full screen for most games, Fallout 4 included. Remember, the simplest solutions first.

Honestly, just play it in windowed mode. It crashes less, and you can easily alt-tab to check guides or whatever without the game having a meltdown.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
