To wait in Fallout 4 on your Xbox One, just find a chair, a bench, or any seatable surface in the game world and press A when the option to 'Sit' appears. Once your character sits down, you'll see an option to 'Wait' - press it and choose how long you want to wait. Time will fast forward without using any external menus!
I remember spending 5 minutes just trying to wait standing up before I realized you need to sit. The game teaches patience in more ways than one!
Can't just stand around and wait like in previous Fallout games or Skyrim. Gotta find yourself a cozy spot to sit down first.
