Honestly, it depends on what you're looking for. If you're into crafting and customizing, then yes, Automatron is a blast. But if you're not really into tinkering with robots, the DLC might not feel as impactful. Still, the story and missions are decent, so it's not a total loss.
Nope, save your caps. There are better things to spend your money on in Fallout 4. Automatron is cool and all, but it doesn't add enough to the game to be worth the price tag, IMO.
For me, the best part about Automatron was the creativity it allowed in building your own robot army. Nothing quite like marching into battle with a customized bot that you designed from top to bottom. Plus, the storyline for the DLC is surprisingly good, providing a solid few hours of entertainment.
