Honest Dan hangs out at Covenant, a small, seemingly utopian settlement. You'll usually find him milling around the town or inside the main house, looking all serious and investigative. Just don't spoil his mood by bringing up synths right off the bat!

Nah, don't bother. Honest Dan's quest isn't worth the hassle. Too much walking.
Covenant's his haunt. If he's not immediately visible, poke around a bit or wait a few hours. Dan's got a schedule, sort of, but it's more like guidelines.
