Dude, the RobCo Fun magazine issue in the Concord Civic Access has a mini-game that awards you a fusion core upon completion. Also, don't sleep on the repeatable Brotherhood of Steel quest 'Cleansing the Commonwealth'鈥攊t occasionally rewards fusion cores too.
