Are lands considered cast in MTG?
Nope, lands aren't considered cast in Magic The Gathering. When you play a land, you're simply putting it onto the battlefield. You don't use the stack like you do when casting spells, so counterspells can't target them. Think of it as just laying the land down for use, no magic spells needed!

Lands? Cast? Nah, they just enter the battlefield directly when you play them. No casting means no countering those land plays.
Absolutely not. Lands are not spells and thus are not 'cast'. They're simply played, one per turn, directly onto the battlefield. This is MTG 101!
