Exactly 40 cards! That's the magic number for draft decks in MTG. Anything more, and you're diluting your chances to draw the good stuff.

40 is the minimum but listen, flexibility is key. If you've got a super consistent deck, stick to 40. If you're not feeling as confident, adding a few extra cards won't hurt. But remember, more cards = less consistency.

In a Magic The Gathering draft, your deck needs to be at least 40 cards. People usually stick to that minimum to increase the chances of drawing their best cards. Don't forget to add about 17 lands to that number, depending on your deck's mana curve!

40 cards, no more, no less. That's the golden rule. Adding more just messes with your odds.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
