Are Lands in MTG Always Standard?
Not all lands in MTG are 'standard' as in the Standard format. Lands, like all cards in MTG, rotate in and out of Standard play depending on the sets that are currently legal in that format. However, basic lands (Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, Forest) are always standard legal. For the non-basic lands, it depends on the set they're printed in and the current rotation.

It's a mix! Basic lands? Always welcome in Standard. Non-basic lands have to watch the rotation or they're sitting on the bench.
Nope, basic lands are always good to go in Standard, but those fancy non-basic lands have a shelf-life depending on the set they come from.
