Not really a lottery since you always get something, unlike a lotto ticket that can be a total bust. But I get the thrill part, hunting for that one rare card.
It's a mix. You know you're getting something, but the real excitement is in the chance of pulling a valuable card. Kinda like a lottery but with guaranteed consolation prizes in the form of the cards you do get.
