Absolutely not for official play! Wizards has a strict no-proxy policy for any sanctioned event. If it ain't official, it ain't playable in tournaments, period.

Proxies in MTG are a bit of a gray area. Official tournaments and events sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast outright ban the use of proxies. However, if you're just playing casually with friends, the consensus usually leans towards 'as long as everyone's cool with it.' It's all about the fun and the company you keep. Just don't try slipping them into your deck at your next FNM unless you want some raised eyebrows!

I've been using proxies in my casual games for years. Helps me test out expensive or hard-to-find cards before I decide to buy. My playgroup is all for it since it keeps the game interesting and competitive. Just be upfront and make sure everyone's on the same page!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
