Are scry lands good in MTG Modern?

I'd say no, they're just too slow for Modern. Modern is a fast-paced format, and having your lands come into play tapped can set you back significantly. There are better options if you're looking for mana fixing or deck filtering.

Absolutely! Scry lands, AKA Temple lands, bring a lot to the table in MTG Modern. They let you scry 1 when they enter the battlefield, which means you get to peek at the top card of your deck and decide if it stays on top or gets tucked away at the bottom. This can be a game-changer since it helps you filter through your deck for the cards you need. Sure, they enter the battlefield tapped, which can slow you down a bit, but the scry benefit often outweighs the tempo loss, especially in slower, more control-oriented decks.

Depends on the deck. I run a couple in my control deck and they work wonders. Nothing like setting up my next draw. Plus, in slower matchups, the tempo loss is negligible. Just gotta know when and where to use 'em.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
