Absolutely, a flying creature in Magic The Gathering can swoop down to block a ground creature. The skies are no limit when it comes to defense! Just remember, while flyers can block ground units, ground units can't reach those high-flying creatures unless they have reach or some other special ability.

Been playing MTG for years, and yep, flyers can block ground creatures no problem. It's a great strategy to use flyers defensively, totally turns the tide sometimes.
