From my experience, it really depends on the wording of the cost reducer card. Some cards specify 'the cost to cast spells' which includes alternative costs like overload, while others may not. Always double-check the interactions!

Yes, cost reducers can definitely make your overload spells cheaper in MTG. If you've got a card that reduces the cost of spells, it applies to all parts of the spell, including the overload cost. So if you're looking to zap your opponents with a cheaper overload, stack up on those reducers!

Nope. Overload costs don't get a discount. Overload is an alternative cost and most cost reducers specify they reduce the mana cost, not alternative costs. Read the cards carefully!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
