Nah, you can't just choose not to discard for Solitary Confinement. The card clearly states a condition where you must discard a card at the beginning of your upkeep. If you can't meet that requirement, say bye-bye to Solitary Confinement because it gets sacrificed. So, keeping that card advantage is key!

Short answer: No. Long answer: Still no, but with more words. You gotta discard or let Solitary Confinement go.

Actually, it depends on what you have in play. If you got something that lets you skip your discard phase or has an effect that counters the discard requirement somehow, then yeah, you might get away with it. But generally, plan to discard if Solitary Confinement is in your game plan.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
