Absolutely not as a strategy move! You can only discard cards if a specific game rule or card effect explicitly says so. There's no free-for-all card discarding in MTG. It's all about the rules and card effects guiding when and how you can discard.

Been playing MTG for years, and trust me, discarding cards is all about timing and following game rules. You can't just toss cards out because you want to. That's not how the game works. Stick to the rules and card effects, and you'll find strategic times to discard.

Yep, you sure can discard cards from your hand in Magic The Gathering, but mostly when the game or a card effect tells you to. Like if a spell or ability instructs you to discard, that's your queue! But you can't just chuck cards out willy-nilly whenever you feel like it to decrease your hand size or strategize. Keep an eye on those game mechanics!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
