Nope, you can't just tap an equipment to activate Urza's abilities. Urza, Lord High Artificer's ability lets you tap an untapped artifact you control to help pay for spells. Equipment is an artifact, sure, but it has to be untapped to use for this. If it's attached to a creature, it doesn't get tapped when the creature does, so it needs to be free and untapped to use with Urza's ability!

Actually, tapping equipment for Urza's ability isn't a thing. Equipment stays untapped even when the creature it's attached to gets tapped. Only untapped artifacts can be used to fuel Urza's machine.

Short answer: No. Long story: Also no. Equipment doesn't tap when creatures do, so you can't use tapped equipment to activate Urza's abilities.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
