Short answer, yes. But will it tell you what's inside? Not really. The weight differences are so minimal and with the random assortment of cards, you're better off not wasting your time with a scale.

Yeah, technically you can weigh MTG packs because different cards have slightly different weights, especially foils vs. non-foils. However, due to the manufacturing processes and the variance in weight of the packs themselves, it's not a reliable method to predict the contents. Wizards of the Coast also intentionally designs packaging and card distribution to combat this exact issue, making it difficult for people to game the system.

Tried it. Doesn't work. Save yourself the trouble and just enjoy the surprise of opening the pack. Half the fun is not knowing what you'll get!

Nope, don't bother. Weighing packs is a myth that doesn't pan out. Just buy and enjoy the game as intended.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
